We depart from Kasbah Africa and head down the valley through fields of olive groves with walnut, peach and apple trees. These create a wonderful backdrop to enjoy the natural beauty of different colourful flowers and plants.
We follow an ancient footpath towards Torort village where we have a chance to see traditional houses built in adobe style with earth. We will learn about how the Berber villagers plough and cultivate their fields. We continue walking and follow a trail to Anraz village. On our way we should spot a number of bird species. A few short breaks will be included during our walk under the shadow of trees for the purpose of birdwatching. We head back from Anraz village passing by a Jewish synagogue. Here, Jewish people, who co-lived in peace with the Berbers before they were deported in 1956, make a pilgrimage each year to practise their cultural and religious rituals.
Next we follow an old irrigation canal that passes below Tikhfist village, which is located high up on the mountain above the valley. We pass by a big fruit farm which grows pomegranates, quince, plum and so many other fruit trees. Finally, we cross the river and return to Kasbah Africa. This short nature walk follows local footpaths and is regarded as an easy walk suitable for people with a reasonable level of fitness.
